Plato "Allegory of the Cave"
After reading Plato's "Allegory of the Cave," one can only agree with Socrates when he states that "...the power and capacity of learning exists in the soul already..." (Plato 282) . this is easily interpreted as meaning that humans are born with the natural strength, potential, and desire for learning without the help of others. As Socrates speaks he implies that if people didn't have the aid of others, they would still learn despite the absence of someone to walk them through life. Though many children are aided through life and guided to learn life experiences, it is quite obvious that a child will be able to learn some life skills necessary for survival without the help from others. In other words children are born with an innate potential to learn essential skills by themselves.
