Raves
Thesis: The common misconception is that raves are trouble, but in fact, they do often have charities and also promote good morals. Raves now days are nothing but trouble waiting to happen. It is not an unusual thing for a party (rave) to get raided by the cops, DEA, or numerous other agencies. I use to be a pretty big raver. One of the raves I remember in particular was raided in Nashville about a year ago at a place called the Eigth Day. The DEA and FBI threw a party and set up hidden cameras all over the venue and by about two O'clock AM they rushed in from all directions and contained everyone that was there. Then as we walked out everyone had to show them their ID and stand in front of a camera and say their name, address, age, phone number, and social security number. My friends and I did not get into any trouble because we did not have anything to do with any illegal substances, but it was still a shame they had to shut down the party. About two years ago the scene was nothing like what it is today, the scene then was not smothered in designer drugs like ecstasy, special k, lsd, and many other corrupt substances that may have been put out by the CIA and other government agencies to help fund there operations. n fighting at raves. To congregate with hundreds of ravers that had the same morals and drug free beliefs was a great experience. The people I went to raves with were all about standing up for your own rights and having a good time. We went to parties to feel at home with lots of caring friends and to hear music we love and to listen to talented DJ's. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Another positive side of raves many people tend to over look is many parties I have attended have donated money raised at the door to some sort of charity. Also, I have been to quite a few parties that have asked people to bring can goods to get into the door for less, then they donate the can goods to a charity for the homeless or another creditable charity. Also raves give kids a place to go and help them stay off the streets. There are drug and other illegal activity there, but that will be anywhere kids hang out. Raves are all over the world and the government will probably never be able to stop them, although they will try because of these stupid people bring corruption into what used to be a respectable scene. I'm not sure if I believe that raves should
