Macbeth was actually a great king that ended suffering badly at the hands of Shakespeare. The two-week long play came from a long 30 year period. It can be seen that this line of kings is much in difference to that of Shakespeare's. It is as though the two share nothing in common except as for characters' names. The character was phenomenal, but who was better, the "great king of his time and age" or the man "snorting with indigested fumes of the blood of his sovereign." Macbeth was totally out of the line of life as the true Macbeth. They are opposites in most all areas in character. Macbeth saw killing and death as the complete answer to his life. He soon became insensitive in the area of death. It was seen as great deceitfulness and hatred in the people's eyes. He kept it such a mystery.
