My ethical opinion

There are three philosophers in whom I am going to talk about, Plato, Socrates, and Aristotle. The philosopher that seems to interest me the most is Aristotle. He is said to be the most down to earth philosopher out of the Plato and Socrates. I think that Aristotle has a great understanding of what he is talking about. Aristotle is to be the best student at Plato's academy, he is also said to think very highly of Plato; in fact, is said to have sent Plato a letter and to have wrote in it "Dear is Plato, but dearer still is truth."(GTE 23) Aristotle's theory comes a lot easier to me than Plato and Socrates. I have trouble understanding their concepts, but since Aristotle has a more understandable and likeable reasoning I seem to get into him a lot more.

Aristotle, just like him I believe that wealth and honors are inadequate and that people must be self-sufficient. I think that people can not live off wealth and fame alone that they should be able to do things on there own to help themselves. You can't survive on just wealth fame that will not get you far at all.

I agree with him that the goal to happiness is to first be self-sufficient, you are to be able to survive own your own and do things for yourself.

Is opposite of piety, and it retains its identity. Piety is prosecuting the unjust individual.

. You want some guy with an interest also in his intellectual virtues.

There are not many things that I like about Socrates there is a lot of things that I disagree with. I do not agree with things that Socrates has to say. The things that I do like about Socrates are when he had his life sentence and Crito tried to free him just because he says that he does not want people talking about him. Socrates tells Crito that he does not want him to care what other people think. Crito wants Socrates to escape from jail but Socrates does not want to embrace his children.

Pleasure in Plato's eyes is not the good but to me pleasure can be bad and good. You can perceive pleasure as being joy, happiness and delight. It is important to me to have pleasure in my life that is good. I do not understand how any pleasure in this sense can be such a bad thing.

The last person that I am going to talk about is Socrates. He also was a great and well know philosopher. I think that he is a very annoying man. When someone is to say anything to him, he always asks well why do you say that and what is your reason. He always has a smart reaction to what anyone has to say. I agree with Socrates, he thinks that Euthyphro is stupid for prosecuting his own father. It is very dumb to prosecute your own father for killing a man who was a worker on his own farm. I think his idea of what is Pious and what is impious. Piety is to be everything that is the same in all actions. Impiety

I do not agree with Plato that Pleasure and pain can be together. I do not think that it is logical for pleasure and pain to be together. Think about it if a child is riding his bike and he falls down and injures himself badly. He is not going to feel pleasure he is going to feel invigorating pain. The only thing that I can think of that you can feel pleasure and pain together is if you hit your funny bone. It is not really pleasure that you are feeling but pure tickling tingle. I do agree that good and evil can occur together. Maybe you are trying to rob a convenient store and they go in get the money and leave. The good thing for them is that they got away with the money but did not get caught. The evil thing is that they committed the crime.
