Aerodynamics is a branch of fluid mechanics that deals with the motion of air and other gaseous things, and with the forces acting on objects in motion relative to such fluids. Some examples of aerodynamic action are an airplane gliding through the air or a windmill spinning. Two of the fundamental forces of aerodynamics are lift and drag.
