A Great Country

To be the best at something is to exceed all others in quality or excellence. Do certain qualities make something the best? Is it determined by being compared to similar items, or is the winner of a competition entitled "the best". Any one of these methods can determine the best. Canada is considered to be the best place in the world to live due to the natural resources, its mixed economy, and its mosaic of different cultures.

When non-Canadians are asked about Canada they usually refer immediately to the naturals aspects, the waters, the trees, the wide-opened spaced and of course the snow. Canada is a very vast country compared to the population, which infers that there is much open space and natural terrain. In the world of economics, there are three different styles, free-enterprise economies, such as the United States, communist economies such as Russia or mixed economies. Canada is part of a mixed economy. This means combining private business ownership with partial government control. Canadians have the freedom to own their own businesses and make their own hours, but there are restrictions such as minimum employee salaries, owner profit intake, and standardized prices on items. However Canadians are required to pay relatively high taxes. The money collected pays for health care, education, military services, recreational centres, libraries, and public transportation as well as many others. Many immigrants from around the world come to Canada in search of a better life due to our well-balanced
