I was in Grade nine the first time I had ever taken Grade ten mathematics advanced. I was trying to fast track so I could get out of high school a bit earlier. I had just changed schools so I started all my classes two weeks late. I managed to catch up my work for all my classes except my math class. I was never quite able to understand the concept of the first unit that I had missed because I had to teach it to myself. All in all, I did not do too well in my math course because of the first unit and other units which I did not understand fully
