European Slave Trade

Slavery had been going on in the world long before Europe began to take slaves from Africa in the Middle East the slave trade was going on for centuries. It was just when Columbus discovered the New World in 1492 they discovered a land where they could grow vast amounts sugar. And to do this they needed mass labor. Sadly to accomplish this they needed to exploit another land. But this time they did not exploit the land's resources, they exploited Africa's people. The Europeans were a very destructive people. The effects of their plunder was never felt in just one place in the world, it was felt all over the world. The motivation African Slave was about the cultivation of crops.

The African Slave trade was very inhuman and it cost millions their lives and identity's. Europe took millions just for the trade of merchandise. As Africa lost in the process, America gained. It received millions of people who help shape who are today. America has always been a land where people of all races and cultures come and cohabitate together. Though the slave trade was all about exploitation, the Europeans gained everything from the process. The money they paid for all the slaves does not thing to show what they received from the process. They received 10 times more than what they paid. The African Slave Trade is just one of many things that helped make Europe the power it was through the centuries.
