Great Expectations

In the book Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, a young boy named Pip, dreams to become a "gentleman" and marry a lady whose part of the upper class society. As a young man, Pip has been part of the lower company of the mid-eighteenth century of the western world. Pip met an old, rich, and eccentric lady who adored Pip, with dreams for her orphan Estella, whom he becomes infatuated, while Bentley Drummle is Pip's rival for Estella's affections. One night, Pip receives an unexpected visit form Mr. Jaggers, a lawyer from London. He tells Pip of "great expectation" from a secret benefactor. He leaves mistakenly thinking, that Miss Havisham is the benefactor, and being groomed into a gentleman, so that someday he may marry Estella. The book Great Expectations is a classic and a fiction drama.

In the book Great Expectations, Joe Gargery is Pip's brother-in-law. Because his sister, Mrs. Gargery raised Pip, Joe Gargery has been his father, friend, and idol. Joe is an honest, generous and forgiving man. Even though his family lack of money, he


In the end of the story of Great Expectations, the characters reveal their dark secrets to Pip. After Pip's arrival from London, he visits Miss Havisham where he sees that Estella will be married to Drummle. Pip then comes home to London and learning Miss Havisham's past with Magwitch. The last piece of the puzzle was revealed. Magwitch, whom Pip helped to get on his feet after escaping form jail, was the benefactor for Pip's "great expectation." Pip also learns that Magwitch is Estella's father. As Pip returns to his homeland, Magwitch's cellmate, Orlick, admits for the murder of Mrs. Joe, Pip's sister. After their bloody fight, Magwitch death was follows Pip's illness. Pip went home and taken care by Joe Gargery and is forgiven by Joe. Pip also proposes to Biddy, an old friend, but finds out that Joe and Biddy are being married on that very day. Some love stories consists of a happy ending and the lovers live happily ever after. Some consist of sad endings where the love!
