Freud

Sigmund Freud has often been described as a controversial figure in the society of

Psychology. His ideas that every emotion simmered from a repressed act, usually in

childhood, and his constant relations of mental disturbances with Sexual and aggressive

themes often put Freud in the spotlight. However, his contributions to this field of

research would change the way Psychologists, and his own Psychoanalysts', would view

their patients, even today. Freud had started out with intentions to understand the causes

of Nervous Disease. Not only did he discover that that the mind, like the body could be

responsible for these illnesses, he also proved that emotions as opposed to brain damages
