A detailed Summary of puritanism

If we still had Puritanism going on today, life in a way could be a lot easier. Say you didn't really know a lot about the puritans, I would put it in terms that you would be able to understand, and that's what I'm going to do for you. Now the life for the puritans was like soil or ground. The ground was solid for the most part but along the way they ran into some cracks. Like the ground was really firm because they had strict laws, strong religion, high morality, and everyone was treated fairly. Now Indians, Quakers, and Roger Williams caused some of the cracks in that ground or soil. Then they tried to patch it up in a way by creating less strict laws and not making the punishments so hard.

Some of the positive factors that strengthened the community were strict laws, strong religion, high morality, and everybody being treated fairly. Like we have here, they also had the 3-strike law, if you did bad things that broke the law you were sentenced to death, even for stealing something. Now if you were caught ste

aling something, they didn't do it like they did in England where they cut off your fingers, they were trying to get away from all that kind of stuff. If you were thought to be a witch then you would be dunked with your hands tied down or have to sit naked in a chair with wooden spikes, and that's just some of the things that they would do to you if you did some bad stuff.
