Capital punishment, as the definition reads, is the penalty of death for a crime. It has been used since biblical ages for crimes, and it seems like a simple enough an just way of being punished. Some people have raised the question, asking if people have the right to decide on the fate of someones life. This plan of punishment is very costly, and sometimes even used on innocent people. Capital punishment is an unjust way of taking someones life and it should not be carried out in the U.S. While capital punishment has been used since biblical times for many crimes ranging from theft, herecy, speaking out against government, and more serious crimes, many people refer to capital punishment as “cruel and unusual” punishment.
