So he did and he likes soft things so he started to rub it a little more until she told him to stop then she scrame and started to shout so he told her to be quiet because he didn't know to stop or let go. She wouldn't shut up so he broke her neck and tried to hide her; when someone came in they say her and called to curly and he came and then got a gun and they all started to chase Lenny. Lenny hid by the river that George told him to and then George came and George shot Lenny because he was his responsibility just like when Slim shot Candy's old dog to put it out of its misery.

I think that the moral of this book is that if you have the responceability of something then you need to take care of it and put it out of its misery.

Two conflicts that are in this book are one; Slim is determined to shoot Candy's dog. The dog is old and worthless but he's all that Candy has. Then they just drag the dog out in the field and shoot it. Candy is real upset by this and feels really bad. The other conflict in this book is when Lenny is with Curly's wife and she tells him to touch her hair, then he gets to carried away with the soft hair that he is touching and so she starts to scream and he just holds on tighter the louder that she screams because he cant think of anything else to do.
