Israelis vs. Palestinians

The controversy between the Israelis and the Palestinians is that hey each lived on the same land at different times and they both want the land. The Israelis now own the land and they have owned it since 1948 when they won the war against the Palestinians.

The Palestinians believe it is their land because they have lived on it for so long. They think it is unfair to just get kicked off their land.

The Jewish people believe it is their land because they were the first to settle it. It started when God told Abraham of Ur to leave and start a new nation. Later Abraham's grandson Jacob wrestled with a man sent from God and won. God told Jacob his new name would be Israel meaning "one who wrestles with god."

In 1700 BC, most of the Israelites left because of constant famine in Canaan. They went to Egypt where they became slaves.

Around this time Moses is born to a slave woman. At that time in Egypt because of overpopulation they would kill all the new borns so his mother hid him. She puts him in a basket and he floats away down the Nile River where the pharaohs' wife finds him. Moses is then raised as a prince of Egypt. He later learns he is Jewish and so he helps the Israelites escape from Egypt with the power

I believe that the land belongs to the Jewish people. I think that because they were the first to settle it so if they come back and conquer it, it should belong to them. So what I'm trying to say is that if your conquer it, it belongs to you. That is how the world works. I mean you didn't see Israel saying it is not fair and saying we want our country back because that is not how the world works. So I believe that it belongs to the Israelites because they took control so the land belongs to them.

In 175 BC, they were conquered once again by the Syrians. The Syrians then outlawed the Jewish religion.

Moses then goes into the water and divides it into two parts with a path down the middle. The Israelites reach the other side safely with the soldiers coming in after them. When they came out, Moses let the two sides down which crashed onto the Egyptian soldiers who drowned.

The Romans later named the country Palestine and it lasted until 1948 when the Jewish people took back their land.

They then appointed a king named Saul. He led them into a battle against the Philistines who were trying to conquer the land of Canaan. Then a young shepherd boy named David fought the Philistines most prized warrior name
