The play I saw was "The Babysitter" by Laurie Woodward. The one act play was performed and directed by the Hempfield Theatre Company.

The plot of "The Babysitter" is about a teenage girl named Karen. Karen is asked by the Williams family, who are new to Karen's small town, to baby-sit their baby. Karen accepts the offer, even though the new family is kind of strange. When Karen arrives at the family's house, Mrs. Williams tells Karen that she is going to the theatre, not to check on the baby because she won't cause any problems, and not to tell anyone that she was there. After Mrs. Williams leaves, three of Karen's friends (Pam, Carol, and Sarah) show up at the house. They tell Karen that Mr. Williams told them to come and not tell anyone either. The girls think nothing of it and begin playing Ouiji. They contact a spirit and the Ouiji board spells out "Eyes at the window." The girls become frightened and start looking

I didn't particularly enjoy "The Babysitter." It was somewhat confusing in the end, and wasn't as funny or interesting compared to the other two plays. I also thought that a lot of parts, such as the baby not being in the room, were rather predictable.

I would recommend this play to people who like mysteries that have weird endings and are somewhat predictable. It wasn't very funny or interesting, and hard to pay attention to.

l. Karen gets scared and calls the phone number that Mrs. Williams wrote down for her, but Mrs. Williams wrote down her own phone number, and Karen gets a busy signal. One of the other girls finds an old newspaper article on the coffee table. She begins to read the article and it says that the Williams' baby died while being baby-sat. Suddenly, Mrs. Williams walks in through the door saying "Bravo, Bravo!" and told the girls to read the rest of the article. The end of the article said that Mr. and Mrs. William
