There are many elements that influence the learning process of an individual. Knowing ones learning style could dramatically benefit the incorporation of an individual's knowledge base while studying. In "Discovering Your Personal Learning Profile," I have discovered my personal learning style by examining a series of questions: "What is my peak and valley learning times?"; "Do I learn bottom up or top down?"; "Where am I located in the four learning quadrants?"; and "What are my personal intelligences?" I found that I learned more when the subject is taught in a non-conventional style. For example, my history instructor was very passionate about the subject. When he lectured on history he seemed as if he was from the specific period he was speaking of. He was also very animated about specific times of history. When he felt angry about a particular war in history, his voice would become louder and his eyes looked as if it could pierce through our being. When he felt sorrow for a specific period in history, his tone! TEST III: Where Are You Located in the Four Learning Quadrants? After completing the personal learning styles tests, I became more aware of my most beneficial and influential learning style. I've recognized my best and worst times of learning and the ways I interact with information auditory or visually.
