Picasso

On October 25, 1881, Pablo Picasso was born into the care of his parents Jose Ruiz and Maria Picasso. Pablo chose the last name of his mother merely because it was much more unique than his father's, which exaggerated the boy's unique nature from the start of his life. As an artistic prodigy, Picasso, at the age of 14, completed the one-month qualifying examination of the Academy of Fine Arts in Barcelona in one day. From there he went to the Academy of San Fernando in Madrid. He was mainly known for his development in abstract and cubism art forms. Throughout his long 91 years of life, Picasso composed many amazing paintings and other works of art. The painting of 'Guernica' is one of Picasso's most distinguished paintings. To better understand the unusual composition we will describe all of its components, analyze what those components mean to the author, and what they mean to other critics.

One of Pablo Picasso's most famous and most important works historically is 'Guernica.' Picasso composed this picture on a commission for the Spanish Pavilion of the Paris World's Fair in 1937. He named and painted the picture after the Nazi bombing of a Basque town named Guernica

The symbol of the bull is what produces this devilish essence. A bull set aside from all else would not produce the feeling. However, the sexual interaction with the topless woman to the front of the bull suggests a forbidden act, submission, or temptation on the woman's part. With that idea in mind, the fallen warrior may have attempted to fight a battle against the bull (or devil) and lost. Also, the lamp to the top of the composition produces a triangular shape of light. This light seems to be the light of God, which may signify the struggle between good and evil. The objects, which are excluded from this light, are the bull representing t!

Pablo Picasso was undoubtedly one of the world's most influential artists. He has brought much wonder to the realm of fine art and has done so with 'Guernica'. The painting is amazing in the fact that it brings a different meaning and experience to all of its viewers and critics. The margin for its interpretation is very vast, which is what makes it so revolutionary. Even after 63 years 'Guernica' is still a work of art held in high esteem by all artists.
