The honeymooners

A detailed Summary of The honeymooners

Television itself has been around for at least half a century. At first, television showed wholesome family programs like Lucy, The Honeymooners, Andy Griffith, and others. It was a fantasyland for viewers, but as time went by they wanted different programs. In the late seventies and eighties, stations started to make detective shows with mild violence like Magnum PI, Magyver, and Knight Rider. From there, TV stations started to appeal to what their viewers want. Their (TV station) job is to make the viewer happy. By doing this they pole random people to get an idea of what type of show to air at "Prime Time"(8p.m. to 10p.m.). The kinds of programs that some stations show are only appropriate for certain types of audiences. They are filled with a lot of sexual content, extreme violence, and vulgar language. Audiences between the ages of four and twelve shouldn't be exposed to this type of content. At this age, it's a proven fact that they are in the most influential !

stage of their lives. Also, some from the older audiences shouldn't be watching this programs either. They're like children, they take what they see and try to perform or act what they see, but this doesn't mean that television controls our society. Tel

me TV. He shouldn't be viewing content that obscene at all at that age. You, the parent should've turned the channel. Television is not at fault for showing what people want, people are at fault for doing what they see on Television.

Kids are not just the only ones imitating what they see on TV shows. We have some very influential adults in our society. Certain shows are very realistic, and sometimes it's very difficult to tell the difference. When people see a show that is based on women doing whatever her boyfriend says or want's, it doesn't seem like a real world situation. Take the same format, but instead of one show, it's five. To see the same thing repetitiously, that can have a serious effect on what's real and entertainment. Producers get carried away with shows that show that kind of content similar to the previous format above. They're just trying to get a bigger audience, and by that they show a little more of what people want to see.
