Abortion is by far the most extreme, permanent, and devastatingly violent solution for an unborn child. The right to life is the most basic and most important right we have. To deprive someone, an unborn child for that matter, from that right is immoral and inhumane. This is an issue concerning a human life. Based on this undeniable fact the right to life applies and must be weighed in against all other considerations.
Legalized abortion has to do with a woman's control over her body, and this has been the centralized argument for the opposing side. Certainly this right is very important, but is it enough to override the fundamental right to life? When one thinks about it, this right to control ones body is incompetent. No one would agree that a woman has the right to beat someone to death because she uses her fists, which are a part of her body. Some may even believe that the fetus
I admit that the definition of life in my belief is the strength of my argument. What if we could define life in such a way that abortion is acceptable? Attempts of this would not prove that abortion should be allowed but rather only provide evidence of the lengths many will go to in destroying human life. Should not we be more concerned with the truth of the matter rather than with artificial definitions that make things more convenient for us? This is a unique individual of human life, whose vulnerability in the womb can either motivate us to compassion and nurturing, or be used as an excuse and opportunity to exercise our deadly power.
In my opinion, abortion has defined our country in logic, for being corrupt, selfish, and murderous. The constitution alone states that everyone is entitled to "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." No one under any exemption should be allowed
