Gostbuster

Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis wrote The Ghostbusters and Ivan Reitman directed it. This film was made in 1984 as a Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Comedy film and was 107 minutes long.

Three Doctors, Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Raymond Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis), have just lost their jobs at the university they worked at because their study of the paranormal is not appreciated by the administration. They are desperate for money so they decide to start a new business of exorcising ghosts from the haunted buildings of New York. They set up in an old Fire House.

The men find that there is a sudden increase of paranormal phenomena all over the city. With the huge demand for their services, the Ghostbusters become famous. They e

ncounter more ghosts, which becomes harder and trickier to catch.

The plot of the movie is the Ghostbusters trying to figure out why there are so many ghosts in New York lately and the subplot is the love story between Peter Venkman and Dana Barrett. The subplot makes the story more interesting because she is actually possessed by a ghost and one of the Ghostbusters is in love with her.

I give this movie a seven out of a ten because even though it was made in 1984 it has some good special effects. But being made in the early 80's, this film needs improvements in special effects and other small things. Overall, I really enjoyed this movie.

One of their many clients, musician Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver), has weird things happening in her apartment.
