Everybody has some kind of moral or meaning behind it. We can call that its theme. I have read, "The Pearl", by John Steinbeck. In the following few paragraphs I will describe what the book is all about.
The Pearl is about a poor Mexican (Kino), his wife (Juana) and his only child (Coyotitio). In the story due to certain circumstances Kino finds a great pearl. This pearl is considered to be the Pearl of the World. He thinks himself very fortunate and makes plans of what he is going to do with it. The whole town is focused on the pearl.
