Existentialist and To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar

Existentialists believe in free will, making choices, and living with those consequences. This is not some kind of weird "hippy" philosophy; it makes sense. Existentialistic thought is predominately a 20th century revelation. As a philosophy, it states that man possesses free will over his fate and the direction he wants his life to take. Sex is used to generally describe a person's external anatomy and gender being an internal aspect of sexual identity. Most people have gender and sex that are the same. For example, a physical male whose inner gender identity is male. He is male on the outside and male on the inside. His gender identity and his external body sex are congruent with each other. We do have, however, people with an incongruence of gender and sex. For example, a biological female whose inner gender identity is male. This person would have a conflict of sexual identity, incongruence in gender image and external physical sex. This has been referred to as a transvestite. However, all decisions are individual; everyone is responsible for his or her choices. Limiting the number of options available to an individual in any situation reduces that being's freedom to express a free will. One can decide for himself, yet must be willing to face the consequences of his choices.
