It has been reported by the California Highway Patrol that a main concern for them are the big rig trucks that get in accidents. California is number one in the country with 80 professional truck driver deaths a year. California is number two in the country when 428 people died in large truck crashes. An average of 1.1 persons lose their life a day in California in large truck crashes. I understand that truck drivers are pushed by their bosses and paid by the mile and for the mile. Which is why I believe there should be some kind of law made that the big trucking companies leave more time for truckers to get their load to where it needs to be. They work long hours and are mostly underpaid. The pay factor leads truck drivers to drive fast, dangerously, and fatigued.
