What does life hold for a person who is only living by the technology of a life support machine? The person who is ill does not have a chance of waking up and being able to live a normal life. So how can we let this simple act of humanity be against the law? These days, every one sees life support machines as lifesavers which in many cases, they are. They allow people to get up after an illness or accident and carry on with their lives as normal. However, it is not always that way; in lots of cases people suffer from cancer or other life threatening illnesses and are put onto life support machines to help all their organs and parts of their bodies work properly. Here is where having mercy and ending their life peacefully can help, when people are suffering like this. That is the only thing keeping their hearts beating so surely. It could not be considered evil to turn the


People's argument against euthanasia is that they have a fear that after the machine has been switched off, they made the wrong decision. The person whose life was ended could have had a chance by a miracle. Since there have been many tests and procedures done in the past, it only proved that the recovery was extremely unlikely to happen. Another thing that holds people back from accepting euthanasia is guilt. The feelings and trouble they would feel after they've said their final goodbye for the last time would be too much to cope with. But they should remember that it was for the person's own good, and it was the kindest thing they could ever have done for that person.
