The Internet gives people a vast array of opportunities, information, and current data; however, along with the advantages of the Internet come some very stern disadvantages as well.

Many more reliable sources for information are just as accessible without the consumption of time and the risk of the Internet. The Internet has changed people's way of obtaining information and view on things and will continue to unless we limit ourselves.

Many young adults find information on the Internet that they do not need to have access to, such as sites that are appropriate only for adults and sites that hold information that could harm people. The Internet admits anyone who has access to it and can harm anyone who makes the first wrong click. Even when used as an information source much of the information retrieved is useless and only leads to trouble. The Internet is not censored because all of the major sites, such as Yahoo, Alta Vista, Excite, and Lycos, want the maximum number of people using their service.
