tree progression

In our class we were Quadrant 7, each Quadrant consisted of a 10 by 10 Meter area were we calculated trees, and a 10 by 2 Meter section named section A were we calculated saplings and shrubs and last two sections names B1 and B2 which were each 2 by .5 meters in these sections we calculated seedlings and herbs.

Turner Park was the second park we studied, at this park we were quadrant # 7, we had 5 trees, which was 5.1% of the total 99 trees for the class. The average amount of trees found in each quadrant was 9, Quadrant #5 had the most trees having 17 making up 17% of the total 99 trees and quadrant #7 our quadrant had the least amount of trees with 5 trees making up 5.1% of the total 99 trees. Quadrant's #1 and 6 reported no tree data . There were 4 different species of trees in our quadrant. The trees we had were the following 1 Short leaf Pine with the total basal area of 22in2, 1 Red Pine with the total basal area of 24in2, 1 White Oak with the total basal area of 31in2, and 2 White Pines with the total basal area of 1with the total basal area of 22in2with the total basal area of 22in2with the total basal area of 22in2with the total basal area of 22in2. Our Quadrant # 7 only had 1 sapling while group # 5 had 15 witch was Jack Pines.

In Turner Park our Quadrant # 7 had no shrubs. The class Data for turner parks shrubs was 6 Sweet ferns all of the same species. Group #1 had 3 Sweet Ferns making up 50% of the 6 shrubs, group 2 had 1 Sweet fern making up 16.5% of the classes shrubs and Quadrant # 3 had 2 Sweet ferns which made up 33.3% of the classes 6 ferns. Quadrant # 1 had the most ferns in the class.

The data for Turners parks Herbaceous species for our Quadrant, Quadrant # 7 had 2 different species of herbs, 1 which was unknown found in sections b1 and b2 each consisting of 25%, and moss found in B1 having 15 %. The classes data consisted of 4 species of herbs which were the following, one unknown herb found in Quadrant # 7 having 25% in both B1 and B2, moss found in Quadrant #4 having 45% in both b1 and b2, moss found in Quadrant # 7 having 15% found in B1, moss was also found in Quadrant # 8 having 15% in section B1, the herb grass was also found in Quadrant # 4 having 50% in both sections b1 and b2, and in Quadrant #8 with 20% in section B1. Group # 8 had the most herbaceous species having both moss and grass in sections B1 and B2.
