Napoleon Bonaparte

Napoleon Bonaparte I once said, "Even when I am gone, I shall remain in people's minds the star of their rights, my name will be the war cry of their efforts, the motto of their hopes." By this, Napoleon meant he wanted to be remembered throughout the years to come as a hero, a legend. Napoleon took charge when the French Revolution developed. He wanted to conquer, and he certainly did. Napoleon will never be forgotten. Napoleon grew up during the inextricable time of the French Revolution. During this time people were highly taxed and very much underpaid. The monarchy was losing power and later on ended up being beheaded. This was the childhood environment Napoleon grew up in. Napoleon became a very powerful leader, but resulted in a downfall because of his "pride" and "stubbornness." He had betrayed the trust of many people. However, he is certainly an important historical figure. His strong military maneuvering and leadership skills are not to be forgotten.

Napoleon was born on the island of Corsica on August 15, 1769 into a noble Italian family. He was the son of Carlo Bonaparte and Letizia Ramolino Bonaparte. His father was a lawyer who fought for Corsican independence, but after the Fr

He truly was the greatest military genius of the 19th century. He aimed his duties at guaranteeing civil liberties and improving the quality of life. He went on a mission conquering a majority of Europe. He was driven to modernize the Nations he ruled and he did with his Napoleonic code. Napoleon once said "Even when I am gone, I shall remain in people's minds the star of their rights, my name will be the war cry of their efforts, the motto of their hopes." He got his wish.
