"Hey Billy, wait up", Niko called to his friend as they were walking to school one day. Niko was a young boy, only eleven years of age and yet always friendly with everyone he came into contact with. He always seemed to be different from the others in some supernatural way, but he never paid much attention to the fact that he was different. Growing up, his dad, Boris, was very strict and punished him all of the time. Niko did not deserve to be punished, but Boris often acted out when he was drunk. Niko's father punished him physically, whereas other parents punish their children by revoking privileges. Niko's mother, Becky, tried to help but she knew that she would only get Niko into more trouble. When he came into school hurt, he used to say that he fell down the stairs. The teacher started getting very suspicious when Niko was around eight but she didn't do anything about it. When Niko was nine, he had a better teacher and she had called the police.
