never forgotten

A detailed Summary of never forgotten

Time pursues us so that we age naturally. During this process we are busy living a fast life not thinking we will all get old. Once a person starts to get old, people don't give that person the attention or respect they deserve. It's not fair how old people are treated by society. Older people are seen as the useless part of society. Most people believe that they don't have any good purposes in life. We ignore them when they speak and don't call upon them for advice. It's a shame that old people are treated in this manner. If we don't give the old seniors the attention they deserve they will start thinking that they are worthless and have nothing else to live for. Things should not be this way. We should admire them for living so long and putting up with all the people that miss treat them. Old people are almost like babies; if another person doesn't take care of them, they could get hurt very easily. Old people are very slow because they don't want to get hurt. They!

take their time while crossing a street or while they drive. We get mad at them because they move so slow, but ironically we are the ones that end up getting hurt because we are always in a hurry. Once we start labeling them, we stigma

tize them with inadequacies when in truth they could be very productive.

If we could educate older people about new technologies like computers we could teach them skillful techniques to keep them occupied and involved in the community. If we keep them involved around the community, we could get extra help we might need to make a difference in how we all live. By not leaving old people out and getting them involved in important activities, society can help change the way we see old people. It will also help them change the way they fell about them selves and will have happier days to come.

With all their contributions they have given use they have open new roads for people to fallow. Because they have done so much for use in are lives we should give them the respect they need and deserve. With out them some of use wouldn't be here to day because of the thing s they have done for use.

Why does everyone think that old people are incapable of every day chores? Society thinks less of them because of their age but any old person is capable of anything as long as he or she follows personal desires. In the essay "View from 80" by Malcolm Cowley, Malcolm talks about a man name Renoir. Renoir was a magnificent painter even though he suffered from arthritis.
