1. In 1917, women were brutally suppressed by the masses. Treated as minorities, they were classified with children and imbeciles, and thought to be incapable of dealing with their own affairs. Dorothy and her fellow marchers were demanding equal rights, mainly the right to vote. In the film, we see her leading a debonair lifestyle, and she seemed to be happy with what she was for a short time.2. Dorothy and her friends' carefree lifestyles were very unhealthy. They thought they had the right to believe in and do whatever they wanted. They did not conform for society or anyone else. Moise did not have the right to accuse them of doing wrong, because he was not so innocent himself. He was hedonistic and brash, and just as bohemian as the rest. Eugene O'Neill was a famous playwright who won the Nobel Prize and several Pulitzer Prizes. His plays were ambitious in range and severely tragic. 3. Yes, sometimes I feel confused and unsure of which direction my life is heading. If I really want to do something, most of the time I go for it, unless it is unrealistic. Later on in the movie, he becomes more of a mentor. God has come to me in unlikely situations. I sometimes end up helping people I do not know, and going out of my way for them. 14. Just when Dorothy thinks God is not listening to her, two more important problems arise. Dorothy looks into Maggie's eyes and sees the Lord working through her. She did not fight back, and almost immediately she realized that it was God's doing. Maggie was totally shocked when she forgave her. She did not think she would, but Dorothy had the strength to overcome her human emotions. This ties in with her singing of "Amazing Grace". Dorothy's strength to overcome the situation came from the grace of God that was in her. 11. When Dorothy met the archbishop, she put her foot down and stood firmly in her beliefs. She did not back down or find a way around anything. I do not totally agree with that comment. I believe that you are allowed to question some things in life and not be looked at as ignorant. 9. Dorothy was shocked when Tamar asked if she could eat over her friend's house. This showed that Tamar was getting tired of eating the same thing at her house with t
