Every type of person is going there, mostly men giving up everything and hoping going to find gold.

If you get lucky you can become a millionaire

If they do then they can strike it rich and become millionaires! But many men aren't striking it rich and ending up poor on the street. Miners aren't the only people on their way to Francisco. Since so many people are going to San Francisco many entertainers are going there too because the miners and their families need entertainment. Many acting troupes are going to San Francisco to open theaters where they can have many plays and make a lot of money. It has been rumored that one ticket to a good theater play has been auctioned off for $10,000! So many acting troupes have been on a journey across America to find riches in San Francisco- but not by finding gold, but building a theater. plays, so it was just what they always did, traveling from town to town but
