A detailed Summary of The Caste System


In India, there used to exist a system known as the caste system. It was confined to India. The Caste System is and was not found in any other part of the world. The extreme social segmentation which it caused was just another part of India's culture. Along with being part of India's culture, it was also very closely intertwined with their Hindu religion. The Caste System is first looked upon as a few groups of social segregation, but looking closer, you will find that there were over 2,000 different groups that this culture and religion had the country divided into.
