Why the Bolshevicks were able to gain controll of Russia?
A detailed Summary of Why the Bolshevicks were able to gain controll of Russia?
Russia has never been particularly lucky with her government, for there has always been a significant problem with Russia's governing ability since the beginning of the modern world. It has either been Russia's people in distress, her government in turmoil, or her collapsing economy. The majority of the Russian people have always had it considerably harsh, weather it was the Tsar in power or the Bolsheviks. "None knew human misery so deeply as the Russian writers."# As told by Theodore H. Vonlaue. As you can imagine, these conditions lead to revolution after revolution. Why has no government ever succeeded in Russia? Why did the Bolsheviks over throw the Tsar? There is no one straight to these questions, but there were several reasons why. Basically the Bolsheviks were able to gain control of Russia because of her condition, and the World's condition at the time.
One of the biggest reasons the Bolsheviks were able to seize control was the constant instability of Russian government. The last Tsar, Nicholas II, was unable to properly unify Russia. Russia needed to be lead with passion and someone who knew what they were doing, and the Tsar was unable to accomplish that. The Tsar was too preoccupied with his son Nicholas

One thing that helped the Bolsheviks gain control of Russia was their snowball effect of popularity. When Lenin first split from the Social Democratic Party, the Bolsheviks were the minority. But by the time of the 1917 revolution they were by far the majority. How were they able to become the majority in such a short time of 12 years#? The Bolsheviks were able to because of the many promises made by the Bolsheviks. At that time, WWI was occurring, and the Russian people were the ones fighting it. Obviously the Russian people did not want to die in a war. So the Bolsheviks promised if they get into power, then they will back out of the war. The people liked this, especially the recruited men and their family. The Bolsheviks also appealed to the peasants#, which was an extremely smart move, because they were the abused workers who could control the country if they had proper leadership. Lenin appealed to them through Communism#. They were severely mistreated and had!
