King David
King David, " the man after God's heart," was the nagid king YAHWEH wanted Israel to have. Despite his sinfulness, in all that he did, he sought to serve the LORD. This was evident both in his personal life as well as in his performance as king as Israel. The Role of a Nagid King: The king is to be God chosen, a brother of Israel, must not acquire a large number of horses or make people return to Egypt to get more horses.
