communication as a process
1.) The constitutive and informational view of communication are two distinctsubjects that we have talked about earlier on in the semester. The constitutive view is basically what we do everyday and what we talk about, without declaring what specific subject to talk about. In the constitutive view, all our interactions build onto one another and it goes into discourse because its all interrelated. The informational view on the other hand can be described in one simple example. When a person comes up to you and tells you that they want to talk about this certain topic, and you agree, that is an example of informational. It is not like the constitutive view because constitutive relies on an interaction building on the other. Informational specifies which direction the conversation is going or basically what is gonna be talked about, whereas constitutive lets the interaction take its own course.
