How to Succeed at College: "What is a College Education For?"

If a team of people went out on the streets of Chicago and surveyed about two hundred people, asking them what the main reason was for getting a college education, the majority would most likely say that getting a better job would be the main reason. This is also Otto Friedrich's answer, which ranks it first out of five possibles. I would have to disagree with Friedrich on this one, because I feel that education teaches morals is the most important of all the five. The reason being, our society today is crumbling when it comes to morals on the street, on television, in the business world, and in many home lives. For instance, when we turn on the t.v. you see shows like Jerry Springer throwing smut right in the viewer's face, or in the newspaper reading about thousands of people being laid off like it was no big deal. In this advertisement I would feature the reasons for education by themselves on each page with famous works of art as the background for the specific arguments and reasons. The cover would be a collage of works by the students in the school of art; giving it a much more all is welcome feeling. The television advertisement would have to portray that type of feeling as well. The more that people come to understanding how open this place is the more the people would flock to the school.
