Another reason why I am proud of the world in which we live is the incredible advancements that we have accomplished in technology. From the wheel to NASA's space shuttles, we have continuously explored and conquered barriers that we had previously encountered. The computer is one advancement that has revolutionized technology as it was known many years ago. Considering that humans first used flowers and natural dyes to scrawl on cave walls, and then advanced to an ink well and a sharpened feather to be used for several hundred years as a form of communication, the computer was an unimaginable invention. At first, computers were used only for certain companies and businesses. Today they are used in almost every home and every school without contemplation as to where we would be without them.
