"Miss Saigon" is the story of a 17 year old girl named Kim, who is forced to work as a bar girl after seeing her family slaughtered. The play opens with Kim being introduced to the other girls by the Engineer who not only plays the role of the girls' pimp, but hopes one of these girls will be his passport to America. The Engineer runs the club, frequented by American GI's, where the girls dream of finding an American husband to rescue them from their lives. Mackintosh, Boubil, and Schonberg's are theatrical legends who have enthralled the world with their works.
