Day at The Goodwill
My first day at the Goodwill Store in La Puente was pretty exciting. The first thing that I started to do was unload a truck full of donations that came straight from Beverly Hills they had some nice stuff for donation that caught me by surprise, they had some microwaves some TV's and some nice clothes that seemed that the owners got bored of or something. Mario was one of the workers there that made me feel very welcomed at the Goodwill, maybe because he was the one that first started talking to me and helped me unload the truck and he also has some very interesting stories about his life. After we unloaded the truck, I started to do some polishing and cleaning of the goods that we received and also of the merchandise that was already in the store. Jenny was the other worker that made me feel very welcomed as well she is a very nice woman in her mid 30's, she was the cashier and in charge of mostly all of the store well it seemed to be that way. My first day went by pretty fast, I guess cause I was anxious of getting to know the Goodwill Store a little better. My Second day at the Goodwill wasn't as interesting as the first the only thing that I did the whole day was just sell merchandise on the registe
This is my last day here at The Goodwill Store and in a way I'm glad its over but then in another way I don't want to leave because of the people at the Goodwill. I started my day unloading a small truck which only had a sofa donated by senior citizen from Walnut, he was so generous in helping me unload the sofa from his Ford F-150 truck. After I unloaded the sofa I went back into the store and I started doing some sales for a couple of hours then went to the back and organized some of the clothes and some of the other stuff that was there. I also cleaned out some closet which had some old clothes that had been there for years it seemed, today was okay for me I guess, but I didn't really get to talk because there was a lot of people at the store today shopping for clothes I guess buying to sell at the garage sale I don't know. I did get to chat with Mario and Jenny for a while especially Mario, I had a good time with him and for the first time Jenny actually talked for a c! ------------------------------------------------------------------------ r up in the front and I didn't even get to talk to Mario as much as I did the first day so I have no interesting stories to listen to, since Jenny is the quite type she didn't have numerous stories to talk to me about like Mario did.
