While on his way to Egypt, God appointed Aaron, the brother of Moses, to be the speaker for Moses. So together, Moses and Aaron went to the Pharaoh. They told him that they had come to take the Israelites out of Egypt. They did this by the order of Yahweh, also known as God. Ramses, the Pharaoh, viewed himself as a god in human form. He laughed at Moses and Aaron, and told them that he would not take any orders from a lesser god.# While resting by a well, he saw some women being run off from watering their fathers flock. Some shepherds who had come to water their flock run them off. By coming to the rescue of the women, who were the daughters of the King, he was invited to stay and eat with the King and his family. Since the King had only daughters, he was very excited to have the young Moses around, even if he was an Egyptian.# "Moses, you will see what I will do to Pharaoh. By the time I am done he will drive you out of his land. I am the God that appeared to Abraham and to Isaac, and to Jacob. I have made and agreement, my Covent, with them, to give them the land of the Canaan, the land in which they were strangers. Tell the children of Israel, that I AM the Lord and I will bring them out from under the cruel hand of the Egyptians. I will take you for my people and bring you to the land that I promise to their fathers I will give it to you as a heritage. I AM the Lord God, the Eternal."# Through their 40-year journey to the land of the Canaan, the people of Israel nearly died of thirst and of starvation and each time Moses would pray to God and the people would be saved. It took the Israelites seven days to leave Egypt, and for these seven days they had the Feast of Unleavened Bread.# While walking Moses came across a burning bush from which God was calling to him. God told him to go to the Pharaoh, and to bring his people; the Israelites out of Egypt. Doubting his capabilities to lead the people, Moses questioned God's confidence in him. With God's reassurance that he would guide and be with Moses, he accepted God's orders.#
