This book that was similar to the other Harry Potter books, was very interesting. This book is about how Harry and his good friends Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger help to find what they believe to be a very dangerous criminal that escaped from the horrors of the terrible place in Azkaban. This is the harsh prison for witches and wizards that commit terrifying crimes. This prison is surrounded by "dementors" they guard Azkaban. What they do is so punishing, they can make people, witches, or even wizards go mad with even a matter a couple of days to a couple of months. These horrible dementors suck all of the happy thoughts out of you, and they get filled up with the most horrible things you have ever seen in your life. Sirius Black was this prisoners name that "wanted to kill Harry".

It all started at the Dursley's house where Harry spent his summer vacation. Harry did not like the Dursley's, but he had to stay there considering that his parents died in a murder from the dark, evil Lord Voldemort, and the Dursley's were the only relatives that he knew of. On the train ride on the way to school, a weird thing happened, a dementor came on the train in search of Sirius Black. He did not find him though. At the school they had their usual delicious feast and the first years were sent into there groups (either Hufflepuff, Slytherin, Ravenclaw, or the group Harry was in Gryfindor).

Now to get to the good adventure part of the book, first the principal and other teachers found out that Black some how managed to get inside the building amazingly, considering that the school was heavily guarded for Harry's safety. The adventure mainly depends on Ron's pet rat, see he really isn't a rat. He is a person named Peter Pettigrew, who actually set up Harry's parents, for their death. He was sent to Azkaban. What everyone thought was that Black was the man who set up Harry's parents, and he has been in Azkaban for an amazing 12 years, and has not gone mad. Black used to be Harry's dad's friend, and what Harry did not know was that Sirius was named by Lily (Harry's mom) and James (Harry's Dad) Harry's legal guardian, if any thing should happen to them.
