TV Made me do it

Has our nation been deceived by the media? Has the media sent forth an era that it is all right to define what was considered old fashion values? Hundreds of arguments can be made on the topic that Television is playing good or bad role in the society, but most of the philosophers, social scientists, and critics have agreed that Television in playing the vital role in the enhancement of violence in the society. In fact, experts warn that viewing violence can have lifelong harmful effects on children's health. By the time children complete school, the average child will witness more than 100,000 acts of violence on TV, including 8,000 murders. The more violence children watch on TV, the more likely they may act in aggressive ways, become less sensitive to other's pain and suffering, and be more fearful of the world around them.

It is not what they are learning, since television shows can all be educational; it is how yo!

defenders of media present these kinds of lame examples and explanations but reality is still the same, none of them gives the answer that why the other brother joined gang and later became murderer?

Since we live in a violent society, we're constantly hearing arguments that seeing TV violence, particularly children, desensitizes us so we accept real violence more off handily maybe it even triggers real violence. That is a fact that Television is very good medium of information but one must consider the dark side of this picture, which is the combination of violence, pornography, street fights, gun usage etc. For example, cable television (which is really common) shows at least 20 movies full of nudity and gang fights in 24 hours. Parents are on the jobs most of the time and children have full access and favorable surroundings to watch these programs, but later on when these future builders of the Nation get involve in rapes, gang fights, and murders than no one is there to help them. Another good example is, if Bobby commits a crime, he's not responsible and his parents are n
