Lord of the Rings
The Fellowship of the Ring is the first book of the Lord of the Rings, written by J.R.R. Tolkien. The Fellowship of the Ring follows the passing of the Ring, or One Ring, from Bilbo Baggins to his heir and nephew, Frodo. It is then Frodo's job to take the Ring across the land of Middle Earth to destroy it in the Cracks of Doom, which is located in t the enemies land. Along his journey, he stops in Rivendell at the great House of Elrond, and is joined by a fellowship of nine members. The fellowship's members consist of Frodo, his friends Pippin, Merry, and Sam, the dwarf Gimli, the elf Legolas, the wizard Gandalf the Grey, the ranger Aragorn, and Boromir. The company then sets out across the dangerous lands of Middle Earth to destroy the Ring. Frodo's quest to destroy the One Ring is a very difficult one both men
fantasy genre. Anyone that doesn't mind a one of Frodo's problems is the fact that he doesn't even know if he will succeed. It's long story, and likes epics would appreciate this book. Tolkien's inclusion of separate languages and histories for the different races of Middle strengths and weaknesses. The battles also show what the fellowship is really up against, my least favorite part, as all scenes have a part to play in the whole of the story.
