Abortion can be defined as the expulsion or removal of a fertilized egg, or an embryo, or a fetus from a pregnant woman's womb before it can be able to sustain life outside the womb. Abortion can be categorized into two certain types, indirect abortion and direct abortion. Though in today's society abortion is widely used by some women, it considered one of the most overbearing moral issues facing the Catholic Church. Indirect abortions can occur unexpectedly. By this, it means that it can happen without the intention of the pregnant woman by some outside means. An indirect abortion is also known as a miscarriage. About ten to fifteen percent of pregnancies end up in a miscarriage. Almost all miscarriages occur before the third month of pregnancy, and often without the woman yet being sure if she is pregnant. The main symptoms usually involved are bleeding from the vagina, cramping of the uterus, and passage of blood clots or tissue from the vagina. Usual
