During 1956 Nasser Gamal, the great people's leader of Egypt plan for improving living standards in Egypt by constructing the Aswan dam. This plan was rejected by the US led World Bank because it breached their own interest in the area. Therefore, president Nasser took the Suez Canal from the Anglo-French company to fund for this great project.
