Midriff and Mook

Mass media as an agent of socialization, the people and groups that influence our self-concept, emotions, attitudes, and behaviors (68), tends to lead to more and more misunderstandings between the genders. The media has geared itself towards two major audiences, young men and women, creating two prototypes, the mook and midriff. The mook, being the in your face male that doesn't have a care in the world while the midriff is the image driven female pop star.
