Humanities

My beliefs are very different form those of the ancient Egyptian

culture. The purpose of this paper is not to belittle the beliefs of this culture. But to

state my opinion on this topic and to discuss the differences.

First, I would like to start off with the Egyptian view on a heavy heart.

The Egyptian culture thought that when they died that there heart would be weighed.

They believed that for every good deed that you ever had done your heart would

gain weight. And for every bad deed you have ever had committed that your heart

would lose weight. Thus it was better to have a heavy heart than to have a light at
