In Puerto Rico there are many places tourists love to visit. A few of these include El Morro Fortress, Luquilla Beach, Phoshporescent Bay, Ponce Art museum and El Yonque. El Morro fortress is an amazing corner of Puerto Rico that guards the Bay of San Juan. Built by the Spaniards between 1539 and 1787, El Morro Fortress looks over the North Atlantic Ocean being a popular spot for tourists.

Also along the northern boundary line lays Luquillo Beach. Considered one of Puerto Rico's most beautiful beaches, Luquillo Beach is another very popular spot for visitors. Not only a place to lie on the warm sand and relax, this beach also offers a wonderful picnic area. The opposite of Liquillo Beach lays Phosphorescent Bay. This bay is found at La Parquera on the southwest coast of Puerto Rico. Phosphorescent Bay is known for being a breathtaking sight on moonless nights. Puerto Rico's governor and both legislative houses are popularly elected senators and 51 representatives. The governor may serve unlimited number of terms. On the local level, Puerto Rico is divided into municipalizes, each with its own mayor and assembly. Puerto Ricans share all rights and obligations of United States citizenship, including service in the armored forces; however, they do not pay federal taxes and also they cannot vote in national elections. The United States government handles Puerto Rico's foreign affairs and United States military installations are maintained on the island.

She was sworn in Tuesday, promising to seek greater autonomy for the United States territory and to halt Navy exercise on the Vieques Island. In San Juan, as Calderson took the oath, a crowd of thousands cheered and chanted her name, a cannon blasted from San Cristobal (a nearby Spanish colonial fort), and doves flew into an azure sky. Although Puerto Rico was definitely in favor of Sila Calderson, her inauguration raised the possibility of an even more conflicted relationship between the United States and Puerto Rican government
