invisible man by ralph ellison

Captain John Yossarian is a 28 year old bombardier in the U.S.A Air Force with the 265th squad. Yossarian flies a B-25, he is given many nicknames like "yo-yo" "Assarian". Yossarian is a funny young man who's personality starts to show in the first chapter when he sends out letters and how he censors the words that he has used. Yossarian is very intelligent everyone always comes to him for advice in business or advice on what to do with their lives, such as in the case of Dobbs will not follow through to kill Colonel Cathcart unless he say's that he may execute the colonel. Yossarian thinks that he is not powerful but he is, he just doesn't know it yet

He flies all of these missions an when he start's to reject them the Colonel is forced to try and bribe him to go ful-fill the missions.

I think that Yossarian is a very good main character because he is looked up to by all of the soldiers in the 265th squad because he is a very intelligent man who knows a lot of literature. He can also be stubborn to the doctors because he asks a lot of questions to them about getting him out of flying more missions. Yossarian is a very powerful man because he is depended on by Colonel Cathcart to fly more and more missions.

"Give me eats!", "Give everyone eats!", "I like fresh eggs fried.", "Bless you, my boy. Have a horse shoe."

Lt. Milo is a man who forces other soldiers into his group so that he could make his own black market. Milo gets men into his groups by persuading them or blackmailing them.

"who's complaining?, ... I'm just trying to figure out what to do with half a bed sheet." "oh, well ... what the hell."

Dunbar is a good hospital friend that Yossarian has most of the time, time he wanted time to move slower so he would have a longer life. Dunbar wanted time to move slower because he wanted to live longer than everybody, but his mind changes wen he hits his head in the hospital. Dunbar also changed identities when he switches hospital beds with A. Fortiori just so he could be closer to his buddy Yossarian.

Doctor Daneeka is a Doctor in the Army who is not liked by most of the men he cannot get along with because he doesn't want to be there. Doctor Daneeka would rather be in his old office that he had to leave because he was drafted into the Army. The Doctor I think is a very weird man he is very cautious of what his temperature is every day, and his health. The Doctor learns that if Yossarian puts the doctor is put on McWatt's flight list he earns the Flight pay, which he doesn't go on the flights but gets paid for it. Yossarian does this for the Doctor because he said that he would recommend him to be Major but the doctor never does because he doesn't really care about it.
