A detailed Summary of Magazine Analysis

In this analysis of the magazine Trans World Snowboarding, I plan to enlighten you (the reader) on how the writers of this magazine portray their own type of style, structure and voice. In my opinion the magazine Trans World Snowboarding, has what it takes to be called one of the greatest snowboarding magazines on the market. It's in depth interviews with riders from all different countries and the informative articles that tell us "losers" how to do "way awesome move's". Especially don't forget the "fly" photos where they show off their fellow riders "Shredding the Rad" (an expression used by many snowboarders to explain riding on great snow).

The interviews in this magazine really stand out. The interviewer makes the article very personal and it makes the reader feel as if they are in the room with the person. One that really got to me was a little chat with Risto Scott. I read the beginning of this interview and was hooked. The interviewer already knew Risto; they had been friends for a while and tended to travel together quite often. He knew all the right questions to ask and helped the reader know who Risto really is (which is just another boarder from C

anada). In the interview Risto was asked "what place stoked him out the most?" Risto then responded with a number of places he had been during his snowboarding career. Risto in the end decided on the African trip he and the interviewer had just been on. The way these guys were speaking during their talk it was very much like the way the people I know speak American Slang.

Regardless of the fact that guys use variations of the phase "quit being such a girl" to goad each other into doing what they might otherwise back down from, getting scared doesn't make you "a chick". When the reader gets into the magazine they understand they are not the only ones that have fear, even the greatest snowboarders on earth have the fear.

Melissa Larsen wrote in another snowboarding magazine (a girls issue) "Fear. It's an emotion experienced by everyone pushing herself to learn something new.
